Come gather ‘round people wherever you roam to Old Poole Farm, again.
After a year’s hiatus, the Philadelphia Folk Festival returns Friday through Sunday, courtesy of Philadelphia Folksong Society, with a fresh burst of energy and nostalgia, ready to rock, roll, and revel in the rhythms and transformative power of folk that has enchanted the community with tradition for six decades.
The Philadelphia Folk Festival takes place at 1323 Salford Station Road on Old Pool Farm near Schwenksville in Upper Salford Township. Use “Harleysville” in the GPS.
Camping is allowed at the event. Learn more here. No pets or ground fires allowed.
This year’s comeback is anchored by a special guest, one whose act will stir the soul and strum heartstrings of music lovers across the region – North Wales Borough’s own John Oates. Oates’ legendary partnership with Pottstown’s Darryl Hall created smooth harmonies and chart-topping hits that are now the soundtrack for countless lives.
Oates will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday on the Martin Stage. RUNA closes out Saturday night with a 10:45 p.m. performance.
Gangstagrass also joins Oates on the bill this coming weekend, playing the main Martin Stage Friday night at 11:15 to midnight.
