Car overturns, driver treated at scene for injuries in Monday afternoon crash

An accident in Sellersville Borough that resulted in an overturned car and injured at least one person remains under investigation Tuesday.

Sellersville Fire Department was dispatched at 3:55 p.m. to Hickory Lane between Longwood Avenue and Barrington Court in the Hickory Ridge townhome development for an overturned vehicle.

According to reports from the scene, a red Dodge Stratus struck a tree and overturned, resulting in heavy front-end damage to the car and suspected injuries to the driver. Several personal belongings and debris littered the roadway at the point of impact and rollover.

Chal-Brit Regional EMS attended to a woman inside the ambulance, who was accompanied by several police personnel, per reports.

Hilltown Township Police, Perkasie Borough Police and Perkasie Fire Co. No. 1 responded to the scene.

Hickory Lane was closed between Longwood Avenue and Barrington Court while personnel processed the scene.
