Police ID pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle outside Sellersville bar

Pennridge Regional Police Department Tuesday afternoon identified Peter Gehring, of Sellersville, as the man who was hit by a vehicle outside The Horse Tavern on RIdge Road Friday night. 

Police said Gehring succumbed to his injuries at Grand View Hospital on Monday.

The crash remains under investigation by Pennridge Regional Police Department and the Bucks County District Attorney's Crash Reconstruction Unit.

On Friday, police were dispatched to Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike for a report of a struck pedestrian.

Upon arrival, police found a white Toyota Camry had hit Gehring as he crossed Ridge Road, police said. Gehring suffered numerous serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Toyota Camry stopped at the scene and is fully cooperating with the police investigation. T
