Riding mower catches fire Sunday afternoon on Limekiln Pike

A riding mower’s engine bay caught fire Sunday afternoon in New Britain Township, disrupting traffic momentarily on South Limekiln Pike to one lane.

According to reports from the scene, the fire call came in at 4:31 p.m. at 107 South Limekiln Pike.

Firefighters from Chalfont Fire Co. were able to connect a fire hose and extinguish the fire on the yellow mower, per reports from the scene.

There were no injuries.

New Britain Township Police assisted at the scene.
