The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Tornado Watch for eastern Pennsylvania effective through 2 p.m. Friday.

The alert was issued as the remnants of Hurricane Debby make their way across the region, bringing excessive rainfall of one to two inches, with locally higher amounts in excess of three inches possible, according to the NWS. Forecasters said a few tornados are also possible, along with isolated wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.

A Flood Watch also remains in effect through late Friday night.
