A vehicle accident at North Wales Road and Rose Lane, near the Montgomery Mall entrance, in Montgomery Township has traffic slowed in the area. Emergency crews were called to the scene at 3:05 p.m. on Thursday.
One four-door white Chevy Silverado truck, and one four-door white Mazda hatch-back have both sustained heavy front-end damages. North Wales Road is closed in both directions from the main Mall entrance to Harbob Lane, just before Route 309.
Responders from VMSC Lansdale with two units, the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, and Montgomery Township Police are assisting at the intersection.
Two tow trucks are on the scene to remove both vehicles. An adult male was being assessed by EMTs next to his car. One car occupant was transported by ambulance for medical attention. According to witnesses at the scene, one man was handcuffed and taken into custody, though names and possible charges have not yet been released.
