One person was taken by ambulance from the scene
A vehicle accident has been reported at South Valley Forge and Allentown roads near the edge of Upper Gwynedd Township, within the boundaries of Towamencin. A call came into emergency dispatch around 3:48 p.m. Thursday.
Allentown Road is closed in both directions from the area of Nash Avenue to Valley Forge Road. A silver Chrysler minivan is in the center of Allentown Road, and an electric bike is on the ground.
Witnesses at the scene said that there is debris and blood visible in the roadway.
The passenger’s side windshield and a front headlight are damaged on the van. One person was transported by ambulance from the scene for further medical attention, though their condition was unknown.
Lansdale Police and North Penn Volunteer Fire Company are responding to the scene, with Towamencin Township Police investigating.
