The Saturday event in Upper Gwynedd Township's Parkside Place Park was far out.

Upper Gwynedd Township held its 2nd Annual "Unity for Kindness" Food Truck Festival, featuring beloved Grateful Dead cover band Splintered Sunlight, in Parkside Place Park Saturday afternoon.

Upper Gwynedd Township’s Unity for Kindness is about spreading kindness and enjoying live music, according to its website.

In addition to food trucks, there was a poetry contest, speakers and diversity, according to the township Parks and Recreation Department.
