Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant has teamed up with the Philadelphia, Delaware, and Susquehanna Valley chapter of the National Make-A-Wish Foundation to create Hops & Wishes, a new hazy IPA.
The new craft beer collaboration will make its debut on Monday, April 29 in honor of World Wish Day — the day that marks the 1980 founding of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
While the craft brew will be available on draft at Iron Hill’s three Delaware locations, the company will be supporting Make-A-Wish across all of its locations.
In Delaware, a portion of the proceeds from each pour will directly benefit the local chapter of Make-A-Wish.
In addition, Iron Hill’s locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and South Carolina will take part in a “Give 20” promotion on World Wish Day. For guests that present a flyer — available on both Iron Hill and Make-A-Wish websites — Iron Hill will donate 20% of its food sales to support local Make-A-Wish chapters.
“We’re thrilled to partner with such an incredible organization like Make-A-Wish,” Chris Westcott, Iron Hill CEO, said in a statement. “Their impact is immeasurable, and we are honored to contribute to their mission.
“Crafting Hops & Wishes alongside Make-A-Wish has been a truly uplifting experience for us all, and we can’t wait to share it with our customers. It’s inspiring to combine our passion for brewing with a meaningful cause.”
Hops & Wishes is brewed with experimental hops and boasts aromatic notes of citrus, pineapple, mango, and cherry, the company said.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills the dreams of children with critical illnesses. To date, more than 550,000 wishes have been granted worldwide.
Iron Hill has 20 locations in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, including 12 locations in Pennsylvania — with seven of those locations in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.
