A Towamencin native and Rider University graduate with a 98 mph fastball has agreed to a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox, according to a report from MLB.com.

Danny Kirwin, of Central Drive, currently plays for the Oakland Ballers, per the report. His manager, Micah Franklin, shared a short video clip on Twitter, now known as X, of Kirwin pitching in an indoor batting cage.
