The 2024 version of the International Spring Festival will return to North Penn High School in Towamencin this Saturday, April 20.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the high school will host the largest diversity event in the state, featuring international foods from ten different countries, music and entertainment on seven stages, an interactive health fair and children’s activities, all run by various committees of volunteers to create a rich multicultural experience for all who attend.

“Coming from diverse nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds, our volunteers are helping to lead our community to a brighter future,” organizers said in a statement.

Admission and parking are free, with international food and crafts for sale by vendors from dozens of countries at the high school, 1340 Valley Forge Road in Towamencin. The day will begin with a “Parade of Nations” and includes a passport program where kids can win prizes for visiting stations throughout the festival to try on clothes, play instruments and more.

Nationality exhibits will be staffed by local community members who will proudly display countries based on their own heritage or citizenry, a deep personal connection, or a country whose culture they admire and respect.

“The festival is a continued success, not only because of our dedicated volunteers, but also because of our consistent community support. We are very grateful for both,” organizers said.

The event is also now run by its own nonprofit: the The International Festival Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
