Classic Game Junkie owner Frank Stanchek Jr. took Bob Kelly of FOX29's "Good Day Philadelphia" on a trip back in time recently with their retail collection of retro and modern video games, consoles and accessories -- everything from Atari to PlayStation 5.

Not to mention, the attached Retroware Arcade with an ever-revolving display of arcade video games and more.

"What's old is new again," Kelly said of the Main Street business at the start of his "Kelly Drives" video segment of his visit. "Who remembers Atari?"

Kelly told Stanchek that his very first video game was "Pong" from Radio Shack.

"That was the first big one," Stanchek said. "We have 20 variations of 'Pong' here."

After marveling at the Classic Game Junkie video game collections, including Odyssey (which pre-dates Atari), Nintendo, Super Nintendo and N64 games. Kelly called Stanchek the "king" of video gaming in Lansdale.

"As I went on," Stanchek told Kelly, when asked about what led him to his retail dream, "I said, hey, what can I do with my life that will fall in line with what I did as a kid?"

Classic Game Junkie also restores video game consoles.

In the video segment, Kelly takes an NES cartridge and demonstrates how they were fixed when they did not work.

“What I remember most about these games,” Kelly said, “you blow the dust out, put it back in and wiggle it.”

“Everybody had a method – some would wiggle, some would jiggle, some would put it in the freezer,” Stanchek said. “With that said, we actually clean them up and restore them so they work on the first try. You don’t have to do that.”
