North Penn High School students enrolled at the North Montco Technical Career Center competed at the SkillsUSA Leadership Conference in Hershey, April 3-5, 2024.

NMTCC students compete annually in the SkillsUSA Leadership Competition alongside students across the state. SkillsUSA is the national organization for students in trade, industrial, technical, and health occupations education. It sponsors the SkillsUSA Championships annually to recognize the achievements of career and technical education students and to encourage them to strive for excellence and pride in their chosen occupations. First place winners earned the chance to compete at the national level in June.

The following North Penn High School students won medals at the 2024 competition:

Mason Scovronski, 11th grade, HVAC/R, 1st place

Kayleigh McGregor, 11th grade, Career Pathways (Cosmetology), 2nd place

Samantha Hartnett, 11th grade, Career Pathways (Cosmetology), 2nd place

Raymond Sperbeck, 11th grade, American Spirit (Carpentry), 3rd place

Athena Knox, 12th grade, Employment Application (Cosmetology), 3rd place

Alivia Nguyen, 10th grade, OSHA (Advertising Design), 3rd place

Danica Hippel, 10th grade, OSHA (Carpentry), 3rd place


NMTCC students also competed at the PENN HOSA State Leadership Conference, offering students the platform to apply the knowledge gained at NMTCC to competitive events. The conference serves as an avenue for leadership development, networking, and personal growth. First place medal winners have earned eligibility to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in June.
