It’s a new season — and a new day — for some of Lansdale’s most popular events.

First Fridays return for the 2024 season on May 3, bringing back crowd-favorite features with a revamped map and location changes. This season, First Friday’s attractions will line Madison Street and the Madison Parking Lot up to Wood Street, from May to November, offering convenient access and a central situation for all the action.

The new layout offers “additional space, which gives more local businesses and organizations the opportunity to participate in this great monthly community event,” said Bill Henning, president of Discover Lansdale, which stages First Fridays.

“We are putting more effort into the family/kid zone. And we are able to have a much bigger beer-garden area that allows for live entertainment on stage, a variety of local brewers and a great selection of food vendors, together in one energetic location,” he said.

“This year’s First Fridays are gonna rock,” Henning said.

New for 2024 is the Discover Lansdale Passport Program with Lansdale’s businesses, which will award a prize basket worth more than $200 at each First Friday.

To enter, pick up a passport at the DL welcome table at First Friday. Shop, dine and play at participating downtown businesses and collect stamps throughout the season, then turn in a completed passport at the FF DL table to enter that Friday’s drawing.

Themes for the 2024 season’s themes start off with May 3’s Geeking Out/Comic Books, in partnership with Main Street’s Comic Zen comic shop and Classic Game Junkie/Retroware arcade, the day before the annual Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 4.

Themes for the rest of the 2024 First Friday season:

  • June 7: Boardwalk.
  • July 5: Dog Days of Summer.
  • August 2: '80s Night.
  • September 6: Philly Sports.
  • October 4: Oktoberfest/Chili Cookoff, kicking off a weekend-long Oktoberfest throughout the borough, culminating in Discover Lansdale’s Zer0.5K “Race For The Rest Of Us” and Oktoberfest Sunday, Oct. 6.
  • November 1: Zombie Walk.
