A Lansdale man was hospitalized Sunday night after he was struck by a vehicle on East Main Street at the intersection with Church Road.
Police were dispatched to the scene at 9:17 p.m. on April 14 for a report of a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian struck. Investigators said a Mazda CX7 – driven by a 65-year-old Lansdale woman – struck a 30-year-old male who entered the roadway against a steady red signal.
Dispatch indicated the man sustained class-two head trauma, and he was transported from the scene via ambulance in serious condition. Police did not have an update on the man’s condition as of Monday morning.
According to Lansdale Police Lt. Adrienne Gori, the driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene, and the incident remains under investigation.
Lansdale Police were assisted by units from VMSC Emergency Medical Services, and the scene was cleared at 9:35 p.m.
