Area fire companies are currently at the scene of a house fire along the 1200 block of Colonial Drive in Hatfield Township.
Crews were dispatched to the scene near the intersection with Peaceful Lane at 9:58 p.m. for a report of a building fire. Arriving personnel reported seeing visible flames, and additional fire companies were dispatched to the scene.
Dispatch notes indicate multiple adults and children were trapped in the home, however sources tell North Penn Now that all occupants were able to evacuate in the time since.
The notes also state the fire began in an attached garage. It’s currently unclear if there are any injuries.
The scene is currently active and area residents and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
Responding units include Hatfield Township Police, Hatfield Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company, Fairmount Fire Company, North Penn Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Company, and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
