J.L. Freed Honda in Montgomeryville has been recognized by North Montco Technical Career Center for its contributions to education and collaboration.

The Bethlehem Pike car dealership received the 2024 Outstanding Community Partnership Award from the Towamencin school for being “an outstanding community partner who has demonstrated excellence in collaborating” with the school by providing engaging and learning opportunities to students.

According to a letter to J.L. Freed Honda owner Donald Franks, school Administrative Director Gina Pardovich wrote that the award “was founded to recognize and honor the vital role and commitment of our community partners.”

“Due to the continued strong support of the organization through employees such as Michael Sipes, Matthew Beatty and yourself, North Montco programs are thriving,” she wrote. “The support offered to the North Montco Educational Foundation continues to catapult innovative projects in the classroom as well.”

Beatty, director of fixed operations for J.L. Freed Honda, said the company is humbled and inspired by the award.

“We are deeply grateful to be recognized for our efforts in fostering collaboration and making a meaningful impact within our community,” Beatty said. “This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved, from our team members to our community partners.”

Beatty said it is incredibly rewarding to see positive outcomes from students the result from the school’s efforts.

“(It) serves as a reminder of the importance of coming together to address challenges and create career opportunities for growth and prosperity,” Beatty said.

Franks said it was important to recognize the work of Beatty and Sipes, the assistant service manager, for their proactive roles in support of the auto technology program.

“We are proud to be a part of the North Penn community and value the collaboration and believe in the power of working together to better serve our future workforce,” he said.

From here, Beatty said J.L. Honda will continue its commitment to building strong partnerships and serving the community’s needs.

“Together,” he said, “we can achieve remarkable things and make a lasting difference in the lives of those around us. We will continue to work hand-in-hand to create a brighter future for our students.”
