Corporals Elliot Towles, Christopher Missimer and Jason Alderfer aided State Police and Franconia officers
Lower Salford Township Police recently commended three officers for their assistance in apprehending a wanted man on March 20 who allegedly tried to flee the scene outside district court in Franconia Township, according to its Facebook page.
Corporals Elliot Towles, Christopher Missimer, and Jason Alderfer were recognized for “their professionalism and efforts following an arrest of a wanted fugitive,” according to the police’s post. “Their decisive actions and professional approach to this scene are a credit to this department and an excellent example of teamwork.”
Lower Salford Police posted that all three were involved in a physical confrontation with a wanted fugitive following a scheduled hearing at the court of Magisterial District Judge Adam Katzman. Police accused the subject – Jonser Hernandez-Mota, 25, of Bronx, NY, according to this article – attempted to avoid apprehension and had help of associates to aid in the escape.
“As a result of the quick actions taken by these officers and members of the Pennsylvania State Police and Franconia Township Police, the escape was prevented and the subject was taken into custody to to be returned to Massachusetts to address the warrants,” said police.
