Another Montgomery County polling place was relocated on Tuesday with less than a month until the primary election.

Montgomery County Election Board Vice Chairwoman Jamila Winder was absent from Tuesday’s session as the sole item on the agenda passed in a 2-0 vote.

The Montgomery 4 polling place was relocated from the Village of Neshaminy Falls clubhouse, located at 195 Stump Road in Montgomery Township, to the Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center, 1030 Horsham Road.

Election officials cited a fire last month that damaged the facility as the reason for the move. It’s unclear if the space will be renovated in time for the general election in November. More than a dozen fire companies responded to the March 20 blaze at the senior living community. Heavy smoke and flames were visible from the clubhouse. No injuries were reported in the early morning incident.

Montgomery County Director of Elections Francis Dean said Tuesday that “notice has been posted at these locations” and voters will receive new voter identification cards sent by mail this week. Those at the aforementioned locations were also notified of the election-related change, Dean said.

Montgomery County Commissioner Tom DiBello asked about increasing available handicapped parking spaces at the community center, but Dean said he hadn’t yet heard back from township officials.

The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23. Voters have the option to cast their ballot by mail, absentee or in person. Montgomery County voters have until April 8 to register for the primary election and until April 16 to request a mail-in ballot if they choose to vote by mail. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, and all mail-in ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on election night. Visit vote.pa.gov for more information.
