The children’s clinic on Medical Campus Drive in Hatfield Township has announced they will be permanently closing in a few weeks.

In a letter sent to patients and families, Jefferson Lansdale Hospital said the facility will permanently close on Oct. 13.

“The decision to close the clinic was a very difficult one, as our team has very much appreciated the opportunity to serve your children’s needs,” said Katie Farrell, Chief Administrative Officer for Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. “We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause you.”

Farrell instructed patients with insurance to contact their insurance companies to change their providers. For those without insurance or who are on medical assistance, the letter instructs those patients to contact True North Pediatrics on North Broad Street in Hatfield.

In other area healthcare news, Tower Health has announced they will be reducing their Urgent Care footprint across the region, dropping from 23 locations to nine. Five of those centers will be permanently closed, while eight others will be sold off.

Of those eight locations to be sold, two will be sold to American Family Care, including the Conshohocken location and the one on Valley Forge Road in Upper Gwynedd Township.
