McAllister Brewing Company Purchases the Carriage House Restaurant in East Greenville

McAllister Brewing Company in Upper Gwynedd Township will be expanding its business footprint this winter now that it has acquired The Carriage House Restaurant in East Greenville as a way to introduce new craft beer and food destination for Montgomery and Bucks counties and the Lehigh Valley.

The existing taproom will remain in the North Wales area.

“We are truly excited and honored to take the reins from Bob and Donna, great people, who have instantly become part of our family,” said Mike McAllister, founder and head brewer at McAllister Brewing Company on the Breweries in PA website. “This venture allows us not only to expand our offerings but also create a memorable destination for craft beer enthusiasts and food connoisseurs alike. We see this as a tremendous opportunity to contribute even more to the vibrant communities in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.”

According to the report, The Carriage House Restaurant owners Bob and Donna Shultheis are retiring after 22 years in the industry and have passed on “their culinary expertise” to McAllister. The building itself is a rustic farmhouse built in the late 18th Century.

McAllister plans to reopen The Carriage House around the beginning of November, per the report. It plans to offer six draft beer options, canned beer, wine, and liquor. There will be bar seating, dining areas, and outdoor seating with fire pits.

Furthermore, McAllister’s will add a 25-tap open-air bar, a new dining area and an outdoor garden space for activities come Spring 2024.

“The newly united McAllister Brewing Company and Carriage House Restaurant will offer an unparalleled experience to patrons. Bringing an extensive selection of craft beers, local wine, and creative cocktails, to complement a revamped menu incorporating Carriage House’s unapparelled and familiar favorites as well as new options with the craft beer drinker in mind,” per the report. “This destination promises to be a haven for those seeking craft beer, excellent food, and a truly unique and welcoming experience.”
