Federal Law Enforcement Serving Search Warrant at Home in Upper Gwynedd

Federal and local law enforcement agencies are currently executing a search warrant at a home at the intersection of Morris Road and South Broad Street in Upper Gwynedd Township.

A neighbor contacted North Penn Now Wednesday morning stating they saw members of the FBI raiding a home on the corner of the intersection along the 1900 block of South Broad Street. A second person contacted this news organization a short time later corroborating the information.

Both sources indicated they observed members of the FBI on scene.

When reached for comment, Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy said his department was assisting the United States Inspector General’s Office with a search warrant, and there is no threat to the public. Duffy declined to comment further, deferring to the Inspector General’s Office for additional information.

A spokesperson for the Inspector General’s Office did not immediately respond to our request for comment. The nature of the investigation is currently unclear.

The scene remains active at this time. Avoid the area.
