First responders are at the scene of an overturned dump truck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Lansdale exit.
Crews were dispatched to the scene near mile marker 30.3 at 12:41 p.m. for a report of a vehicle accident. A witness at the scene told North Penn Now the dump truck was coming off the onramp onto the southbound lanes of the turnpike when it overturned.
It’s unclear if the driver was injured in the crash.
Due to the overturned dump truck, southbound traffic has been reduced to one lane, according to North Penn Now photographer Jimmy James.
Pennsylvania State Police are handling the incident, with units from Towamencin and Souderton fire companies providing support, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.
The scene remains active at this time and motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid the area.
