A Lansdale man — who was sentenced to time-served and probation in March for stabbing a man with scissors in 2021 then running down West Seventh Street naked, and who was again arrested in May for allegedly burglarizing a massage studio on West Main Street — has been arrested again in connection with the alleged burglary of an auto repair shop over the weekend.
Timothy Glackin, 37, has been charged with felony burglary and theft by unlawful taking, as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief and a summary count of criminal trespassing, in connection with the alleged burglary of Hauck’s garage early Sunday morning. He’s currently being held at the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash ball, as well as a parole detainer, according to court records.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of East Hancock Street at 3:52 a.m. on Oct. 22 for an active security alarm. Arriving officers said the lights were on inside the shop with a vehicle running, and they observed a side window had been shattered and blood drops were found near the broken window as well as throughout the building and the vehicle.
Investigators also located blood stains inside of a vehicle outside of the building, along with a debit card belonging to Glackin, police said.
At 5:32 a.m., Glackin went to the Lansdale Borough Police Department for treatment of a bleeding hand wound, which he said occurred while running down an unknown alleyway, police said. Glackin was treated at the police department for the injury, however he refused to go to the hospital, according to the criminal complaint.
Later that morning, police said they reviewed surveillance footage from the auto shop, which showed a man wearing the same clothes as Glackin throwing a rock through the rear window. The footage also showed the suspect – later confirmed by police to be Glackin – climbing onto a chair and entering through the broken window, according to the complaint.
Glackin was observed walking in the area of Third and Broad streets at 7:15 a.m. and was subsequently taken into custody.
Court records show Glackin was arraigned that afternoon, and his next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine.
As previously reported by North Penn Now, Glackin pleaded guilty in March to misdemeanor counts of simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, and defiant trespassing, stemming from the August 2021 stabbing of a man in Lansdale, after which Glackin allegedly removed his clothing and fled naked down West Seventh Street.
Glackin was sentenced to time served and probation as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, with additional sentencing notes indicating Glackin was prohibited from having contact with the victim and was forced to surrender all firearms under Pennsylvania Act 79 requirements.
Glackin was arrested again in Lansdale in May, after he allegedly stole a large amount of money during the burglary of a massage studio on West Main Street. He was initially taken to county jail after failing to post $5,000 cash bail and a probation detainer was also filed at that time, however court records show Glackin’s bail was reduced to only the probation detainer during his preliminary hearing on those charges and he was released at some point afterwards.
Court records show all charges were held over for trial against Glackin in the May arrest, and he’s currently awaiting formal arraignment at county court on those charges.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
