Crews Respond to Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries and Entrapment on Bethlehem Pike Friday Evening

One person was injured Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash outside of the Hilltown Walmart after their vehicle was struck and overturned in the roadway.

First responders were dispatched to the 1500 block of Bethlehem Pike at 9:18 p.m. on Oct 20 for a report of a multi-vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries. Arriving personnel found a Subaru SUV overturned in the road with the driver trapped inside, as well as a Honda CR-V with heavy damage to its right front end.

Firefighters worked to stabilize the overturned SUV and extricate the driver, who was later transported from the scene via ambulance to an area hospital with unknown injuries. It’s unclear if the driver of the Honda was injured in the crash.

Bethlehem Pike was shut down between Hilltown Pike and Orvilla Road for a period as crews worked to process and clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Hilltown Township Police were assisted at the scene by units from Colmar, Hilltown, and Hatfield fire companies, the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, VMSC Emergency Medical Services, and ChalBrit EMS.
