A group of teens were rescued by first responders on Sunday afternoon after getting stuck in the elevator at the Septa parking garage in Lansdale Borough.
Units from the Fairmount Fire Company and the Lansdale Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of West Main Street at 4:12 p.m. on Oct. 8 for a report of teens who had become stuck in an elevator. Arriving personnel located six teens that were stuck on the top floor of the parking garage.
Crews were able to release the doors and free the teens without further incident, and no injuries were reported.
A Septa spokesperson told North Penn Now that the preliminary investigation revealed the teenagers may have been jumping inside of elevator prior to getting stuck. The elevator is currently out of service, however a crew will be on site later Monday to reset it, according to Septa.
