A Lansdale man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Bucks County Saturday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to the 9200 block of Easton Road in Nockamixon Township at 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 7 for a report of a multi-vehicle crash. Arriving personnel located a 2018 Dodge Ram and a 2021 Kia Telluride suffering from disabling damage following a head-on crash.
According to the crash report from Pennsylvania State Police, the driver of the Dodge, identified as a 28-year-old man from Ottsville, was traveling southbound on Easton Road when he failed to maintain his lane, crossed over the double-yellow line, and struck the Kia head-on. The driver of the Kia, identified as 55-year-old Tjerk Post, of Lansdale, was transported from the scene via ambulance to Grand View Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries in the crash, police said, and a passenger in the Kia suffered serious injuries and was transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed for a prolonged period as investigators processed the scene, and later reopened after both vehicles were towed away, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by units from Palisades Regional Fire and Rescue, Saint Like’s Emergency Ambulance, Central Bucks EMS, Upper Bucks Regional EMS, Dewey Fire Company, and Swamp’s Towing.
