Driver Injured in Sunday Night Crash on Main Street in Lansdale is Suspected of DUI, Police Say

The driver who was injured in a crash on West Main Street Sunday night is suspected of DUI, according to the Lansdale Borough Police Department.

First responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash along the 600 block of West Main Street at 7:33 p.m. on Oct. 1. Arriving police found a white Jeep Compass that was on its side after striking a parked Toyota FJ Cruiser, and a source at the scene told North Penn Nowthat the Jeep was observed traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the parked vehicle and overturned.

Police said the driver of the Jeep – an unidentified male – had to be extricated from the vehicle and was later transported via ambulance to an area hospital. Police said the man is suspected of DUI, and any appropriate charges will be filed at the conclusion of their investigation.
