Hilltown Woman Accused of Pistol-Whipping Neighbor Following Argument Over Dog Poop

A Hilltown woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after she allegedly pistol-whipped her neighbor following an argument over dog poop.

Charniece Morrison, 32, has been charged with felony aggravated assault and related offenses stemming from the Nov. 28 incident at the Maple Glen Apartments on East Summit Avenue. She’s currently being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $100,000 cash bail.

Police were dispatched to apartment 82 at 4:47 p.m. for a report of an armed subject. Investigators said the victim called 911 after she was hit in the head with a firearm during an argument with her neighbor, identified as Morrison.

Upon arriving at the scene, police said Morrison and the victim were still arguing and had to be separated. The victim had a bleeding lump on the left side of her forehead, and a black firearm was recovered from Morrison’s right pants pocket, according to charging documents.

The victim told police Morrison approached her while she was walking her dog, and began arguing about the victim cleaning up her dog’s feces from the front of Morrison’s residence, investigators said. The argument then escalated, and Morrison struck the victim in the head with the firearm, according to police.

Morrison was taken into custody and arraigned several hours later. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
