Highly Mystical Creations celebrated its official opening Friday, Nov. 17, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
"We’re very excited to shop here,” said Kylie Harrington, a Souderton Connects board member.
Located at 143 North Main Street Suite B, the metaphysical supply business specializes in crystals, plants and all things metaphysical to aid mental health and spiritual growth. Founder Hope Wilson said she was inspired to open the store after witnessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on work culture and mental health.
"I did hair for over 10 years, but after COVID, the industry shifted. It went way more negative than it used to be, and my passion kind of faded,” said Wilson. "So I decided to go out on my own and take a spiritual path.”
Wilson first opened Highly Mystical Creations in a 200-square-foot room at the salon where she was employed but quickly outgrew the space. The business eventually moved to its current location, opening on November 11.
"We’ve had a really good week thus far,” said Wilson.
The store offers a wide selection of merchandise. Shoppers can pick from dozens of colorful crystals at the raw and tumbled crystals bars, peruse rows of plants by the register and browse medicinal oils and herbs at an apothecary wall. Other products include gemstones, zodiac bath bombs, jewelry, candles, incense and tarot and oracle cards.
"There’s something for everybody,” said Wilson, touting the products’ versatility.
The store also houses creations from local artisans, with Wilson underscoring her dedication to the community.
"We’re really big on supporting the locals,” said Wilson. "We are trying to build each other up.”
In addition to the merchandise, Highly Mystical Creations offers past life regressions, tarot and oracle readings and energy healing sessions. The store also hosts events, including children’s yoga, meditation sessions and reiki certifications. Wilson hopes to expand the number of services and events in the future.
"We’re gonna do a lot of events here, especially in the spring and summer – build your own terrariums for children, painting with a twist night, a mediumship event, all different kinds,” said Wilson.
