Upper Gwynedd Police Department’s ‘Toys for Tots’ Dropoff Location Now Open

(The following information was provided by the Upper Gwynedd Police Department.)

Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department has been a designated drop off location for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots donation drive for many years. Our community has come together in tough times to bring the joy of the holidays to those less fortunate, and as a result of your generosity, we have previously been one of the largest donation sites in the area and we hope to continue that this year.

The Toys for Tots Coordinator, Barbara Jansons, for the Montgomery-Harleysville Campaign noted that 2022 was the most challenging year out of her 23 years in Toys for Tots. As we all know, many are still feeling the continued effects of the COVID pandemic, unemployment, economic struggles, and other struggles, which showed in the collection of Toys for Tots. Yet, despite the difficult financial climate that our community is experiencing, the Montgomery-Harleysville Toys for Tots Campaign distributed 15,097 toys to 3,578 children in our region!

We are asking the North Penn area once again to bring the holiday spirit to the children of our community. The last day to drop off toys will be Saturday, Dec. 9, which leaves time to organize and distribute the toys just in time for Christmas!

The donation bins are located directly in Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department Lobby and can be dropped off at any time. If it is outside business hours, just give us a call at 215-699-5862 and an officer will come and assist you.

Please consider donating to this wonderful campaign that brings joy to numerous families, and thank you, from all of us at Upper Gwynedd Township Police Department.
