Green Lane Park Announces Seasonal Events for December

(The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Office of Communications.)

Montgomery County’s Green Lane Park is pleased to announce the seasonal and educational programs it will be hosting in December.

Holiday Craft Workshops
Saturday, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9
10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Participants can choose from several craft projects including a holiday centerpiece, pinecone wreath, wall hanging, and many more. All crafts will be made with natural objects including evergreen cones, nuts, and seed pods all provided by park staff. No previous crafting experience is necessary. Our expert instructors will help you create a work of art. Workshops will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on both days.

Participants can bring a hot glue gun or borrow one of ours. There is a $10 materials fee for each workshop. Spaces are limited. For safety reasons, these programs are for ages 12 to adult only.

Waterfowl Watch
Saturday, Dec. 16
1 p.m.

Join us for our final "Waterfowl Watch” of the year. Participants will travel by car caravan to three birding hotspots within Green Lane Park. You will be delighted at the variety of ducks, geese, swans, and other birds to be found at one of eastern Pennsylvania’s premier birding venues! Dress for the weather and bring binoculars.

Meet at the tennis court parking lot located at 2298 Green Lane Road in Green Lane.

For both workshops, pre-registration is required. Call 610-287-6970 to reserve your space. Please specify which workshop, date, and time slot you prefer.
