Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on County Line Road Tuesday Evening in Montgomery Township (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Nov. 14, 6:49 p.m. - The incident has been independently confirmed to be fatal, and officials with the Montgomery County Coroner's Office have arrived on scene.

First responders are currently at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of County Line and Doylestown roads in Montgomery Township.

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 5:25 p.m. for a report of a vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Radio traffic from the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety indicated that CPR was being performed on one person at the scene.

It’s unclear how the crash occurred.

Sources at the scene said there is a white sheet covering what is believed to be the body of the motorcyclist, however police on scene said they couldn’t confirm that the crash was fatal. Montgomery Township Police Chief Scott Bendig did not immediately respond to this news organization’s request for comment.

The intersection and surrounding areas have been shut down by police, as they work to investigate and process the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Montgomery Township Police are being assisted at the scene by units from the New Britain Township Police Department, VMSC Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Department of Montgomery Township.
