Mayoral Musings: Election Day 2023

Election Day is tomorrow!

If you have not already voted by returning your mail-in ballot through the mail or via a drop box (located at 430 Pennbrook Parkway in Lansdale) please make sure you take the time to vote tomorrow. Polls open at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.

Some helpful information that might make voting easier/faster for you:

  • Polls tend to be a little slower during the day. If you have the chance to vote mid-day, you might be able to get in and out faster.

  • The sample ballots being handed out at the polls are there to help you and so are the people who are holding them. Not everyone is paying attention to every race. If you are unsure about a race or a candidate, ask someone holding a sample ballot. They will be able to provide some information on the race for you.

Finally, this is a municipal election year. As most of you know, local government directly impacts our daily lives in significant ways. It's the municipal government that manages essential services like wastewater, electricity, public safety, and local infrastructure. When we vote in these elections, we have a say in how our neighborhoods are developed, maintained, and improved. Our local officials make decisions that affect our schools, parks, roads, and the overall quality of life in our communities. By participating in municipal elections, we ensure our voices are heard and our priorities are addressed where they matter most: in our immediate surroundings.

In essence, local municipal elections are the building blocks of a strong and engaged society, and they deserve our attention and participation.

Due to how important these elections are, I ask you to strongly consider the experience, knowledge, and background that each candidate is bringing to the table. Lansdale has been persistently improving over the last several years and it is important that we continue to invest in our infrastructure, our public safety, and our future.

I hope to see you all at the polls tomorrow!
