It’s the second time in less than a week that fire crews were dispatched near the Andale Green development, following a fast-spreading field fire along the Liberty Bell Trail Wednesday night.

In that incident, units from the Fairmount Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Almond and Bamboo drives in the Andale Green development at 8:06 p.m. for a report of a field fire. Arriving fire crews encountered a 50-foot by 300-foot section of tall grass and brush that had caught fire, with winds causing the blaze to quickly spread and endangering nearby homes.

The cause of that fire remains undetermined and is still under investigation.
