Police Confirm Body Found in Hatfield is Christi Troiano, Cause of Death Currently Under Investigation

Christi Troiano, 56, of Souderton.

A woman’s body that was found inside a vehicle parked at the Valley Stream Apartments in Hatfield Township on Wednesday afternoon has been positively identified as 56-year-old Christi Troiano.

Souderton Borough Police Chief Brian Newhall has confirmed that Troiano, who was reported missing by her daughter Nicole on April 25, was positively identified via a comparison of dental records by a forensic odontologist with the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Troiano’s cause of death remains under investigation by the coroner’s office at this time, Newhall said.

According to sources with knowledge of the investigation, the Troiano’s body was found by a maintenance worker inside her vehicle along the 2100 block of North Line Street. The body was found lying across the backseat of the vehicle near the R Building of the complex, sources said.

The location where Troiano’s body was discovered is approximately 2.2 miles from her last known location, where her vehicle was captured on a license plate reader traveling through the intersection of Orvilla and Cowpath roads.
