Multiple area fire companies are on scene at a field fire off of Hancock Street in Lansdale Borough.
Units were dispatched to the scene at 8:06 p.m. on May 24 for a report of a woods/field fire near the intersection of Almond and Bamboo drives within the Andale Green development across from Stony Creek Park. A member of this news organization drove past the scene as units were arriving and witnessed smoke throughout the development along with the potent smell of something burning.
There is currently no information indicating any building has been affected.
Lansdale Police are being assisted at the scene by units from the Fairmount Fire Company, North Penn Fire Company, and Hatfield Fire Company. The scene is active at this time and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
