More than 500 people attended Imprint Beer Company’s annual “Haze it Forward” charity beer festival over the weekend, sampling beers from more than 80 breweries across the United States and Canada.
“We expanded the event this year, and it worked out well,” said Imprint co-owner Ryan Diehl. “Attendees really enjoyed the mix of beers, the lack of wait times, the laidback atmosphere, and the friendliness of the breweries and volunteers.”
The inaugural “Haze it Forward” event was successfully held in 2019, however the 2020 event was scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic, which also caused the 2021 event to be modified and scaled down. Last year, the event came roaring back to full speed, with more than 70 craft breweries being represented from across the nation and more than 500 people attending the event, generating more than $26,000 in donations.
This year’s event was extended to five hours, and included food from Imprint’s sister company, Cantina Rabo.
“The food was well received, and attendees appreciated having food available the entire five-hour session,” said Diehl.
Including ticket sales, raffles and donation, this year’s Haze it Forward event raised $35,000 for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, bringing the combined total for 2022 and 2023 to more than $60,000.
“We’re proud to be able to give back to the community, and we are thankful for the opportunity to be a conduit for our patrons to give so generously to great causes,” Diehl said.
