First Responders on Scene of Vehicle Crash with Injuries and Entrapment on Bethlehem Pike

Area first responders are at the scene of a serious vehicle crash on Bethlehem Pike near the intersection with Bergey Road in Hatfield Township.

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 8:41 p.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment. Sources tell North Penn Now that the incident involves an overturned tractor trailer and at least one other vehicle. The driver of the tractor trailer was reportedly trapped inside of the vehicle and was found unconscious by first responders, according to our sources.

One medevac is enroute to the scene for a victim who sustained an injury described by our sources as a possible amputation, and two other people are being transported from the scene via ambulance with unknown injuries, according to our sources.

County dispatch shows Hatfield Township Police are being assisted at the scene by units from the Hatfield Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company, Hilltown Fire Company, and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.

The scene remains active at this time, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
