Mayoral Musings: Remember to Vote Today!

If you have not already voted by returning your mail-in ballot through the mail or via a drop box (located at 430 Pennbrook Parkway in Lansdale), please make sure you take the time to vote today. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.

Some helpful information that might make voting easier/faster for you:

  • Polls tend to be a little slower during the day. If you have the chance to vote midday, you might be able to get in and out faster.
  • The sample ballots being handed out at the polls are there to help you and so are the people who are holding them. Not everyone is paying attention to every race. If you are unsure about a race or a candidate, ask someone holding a sample ballot. They will be able to provide some information on the race for you.

As with every election, it is extremely important that everyone participates and have their voice heard. There are several important races happening across the area this year including:

  • Local municipal races
  • North Penn School Board of Directors (Remember! They can cross file and will be on both primary ballots.)
  • County Commissioner
  • Superior Court and Common Pleas
  • District Attorney

Take the time to review the ballot in advance, if you can, to familiarize yourself with the candidates for each race. This is especially true for the school board and the county commissioner races where, in both parties, there are multiple candidates running for a limited number of seats and there are major differences between those candidates and what they believe. Every election is important and primary elections help set the stage for the coming general election in November.

I look forward to seeing you all at the polls!
