A Lansdale woman is in custody at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after police alleged she was distributing methamphetamine out of her apartment on South Line Street.
Candida Henderson, 40, has been charged with felony counts of possession with intent to distribute and criminal use of a communication facility, along with a pair of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with a joint investigation between the Lansdale Borough Police Department and the district attorney’s Local Drug Task Force.
Investigators learned in April that Henderson was selling methamphetamine out of her apartment along the 300 block of South Line Street, according to charging documents. A search warrant was executed at her apartment on May 4, with police recovering approximately one ounce of methamphetamine along with packaging materials, digital scales, and currency, police said.
Henderson reportedly told police that the methamphetamine belonged to her, and a search of her phone allegedly showed conversations that were indicative of drug trafficking, police said. During an interview with police, Henderson allegedly confessed to selling methamphetamine for the past five to seven months.
Court records show Henderson was arraigned on May 5 and transported to county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 17 at 11:30 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
