Lansdale Police have provided an update on the teen who was struck by a vehicle yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Broad and Hancock streets.
Police were dispatched to the unit block of East Hancock Street at 4:08 p.m. for a report of a vehicle accident with injuries involving a bicycle. Investigators said a 13-year-old boy from the borough was riding his bike while attempting to cross East Hancock Street. The boy crossed through stopped traffic in the westbound lane, then entered the eastbound lane, where the rear tire of his bike was struck by a small SUV.
The teen, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported from the scene via ambulance for treatment of injuries that police described as minor.
The accident remains under investigation, police said.
