Souderton Borough Police Chief Brian Newhall announced Friday afternoon that the GPS tracking system on the black 2009 Acura TL owned by missing and endangered resident Christi Troiano has not been activated, and police are working to get the system to activate.
Saturday marks 11 days since Troiano, 56, was last seen or heard from by family. Police said she indicated she may intend to hurt or harm herself.
“We have obtained video that shows her leaving her home (on April 25) in her vehicle by herself, and approximately an hour later it was seen in the Hatfield area,” stated Newhall in an email to North Penn Now.
Earlier this week, Newhall said all possible attempts to locate Troiano and her car, including the use of cell phone pings and the GPS locater that was installed when she purchased her car, were unsuccessful.
Troiano is a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds, police said. Police do not know what Troiano was wearing when she disappeared.
Her black Acura TL bears a Pennsylvania registration of GJN-7484.
Police said Troiano is known to visit the Jersey Shore, casinos in Atlantic City, and parks in Bucks County.
According to Troiano’s daughter, Troiano has an active involuntary commitment order due to mental health issues. The daughter added that there has been no activity or transactions made via Troiano’s credit cards and bank accounts.
Anyone who may see Troiano or her vehicle is asked to immediately dial 9-1-1.
