Hilltown Used Car Dealer Recently Cited 3 Times for Unprofessional Conduct by State Police

A used car dealership on Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township was recently cited three times by the Pennsylvania State Police for alleged unprofessional conduct.

KOB Auto Sales, located along the 1800 block of Bethlehem Pike, was issued a trio of non-traffic citations last month under the “grounds for disciplinary proceedings – unprofessional conduct” statute. Each citation states the business “engaged in conduct in connection with the sale of vehicles which clearly demonstrates unprofessional conduct or incompetency to operate as a licensee.”

Among the accusations from police are:

  • KOB allegedly had multiple vehicles on their car lot for consignment but without consignment agreements in place
  • KOB allegedly failed to account for and maintain 17 dealer plates that had been assigned to them by PennDOT
  • KOB allegedly had 18 vehicles in their lot in which the vehicle titles were never transferred into the business’ name

All allegations fall under Pennsylvania statute 63 section 818.318. If convicted, the business could be reprimanded, have their business license suspended, or have their business license revoked, according to the statute.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
