Man Charged with Exposing Himself to Woman Carrying Baby at Hatfield Laundromat

A Doylestown man is facing charges after he allegedly entered a laundromat in Hatfield and began masturbating while staring at a female worker and her infant son.

Paul Williams, 29, has been charged with misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, open lewdness, institutional vandalism and harassment, in connection with the March 16 incident. He is currently free on $2,500 unsecured bail.

Williams allegedly entered Karina’s Laundromat around 3:20 p.m. and began screaming. A female employee who was working in an office while caring for her infant son encountered Williams and observed a bulge in Williams’ pants, police said.

Believing he had to go to the bathroom, the woman attempted to show Williams where the bathroom was, according to charging documents. Williams instead pulled down his pants and began masturbating while staring at the woman and her son, police said.

The woman retreated to the office and called her supervisor, police said. Williams continued to masturbate while walking away, screaming that he “owned the place,” according to police, citing information provided by a second witness.

Police said they arrived to find Williams standing in the doorway of a closet, still with his hands in his pants. He was subsequently taken into custody, however he later resisted arrest while being placed into a police vehicle, damaging a rear door frame, interior molding on the rear door, and ripping an interior camera out of place, according to charging documents.

Williams was arraigned the following morning. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on April 12 at 12:45 p.m. in front of District Judge Ed Levine.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
