The North Penn School District (NPSD) is holding an open house for the newly opened North Penn Healthcare Center on Thursday, March 23, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 6 p.m.
Tours of the facility will be held to learn more about the services offered there for NPSD employees and their dependents on the North Penn insurance plan. The healthcare center will be one of only three such facilities serving public school employees in the state.
The North Penn Healthcare Center officially opened on March 6. The center offers free healthcare, including no-cost medications, to employees and their dependents enrolled in the North Penn insurance plans. The center is staffed by Everside Health employees. Patients can receive primary and preventative care, all at no-cost. The center is projected to save NPSD up to $10 million over the next 10 years in health care costs by providing lower-cost treatments and options before medical issues grow costly.
The North Penn Healthcare Center is located at 350 Penn Street in Lansdale. Attendees may park at Penndale Middle School directly next to the center.
