Coroner ID’s Victim of Sunday’s Fatal Fire in Perkasie Borough

The victim of Sunday’s fatal fire in Perkasie Borough has been identified by the Bucks County Coroner’s Office.

First responders were dispatched to the 1300 block of Parkridge Court at 10:40 a.m. on March 12 for a report of an active building fire. Arriving personnel from the Perkasie Fire Company made entry into the residence and located the body of a female in an upstairs bedroom.

The victim has since been identified as 75-year-old Mary K. Brennan, according to a report by WFMZ. Brennan died as a result of smoke and soot inhalation, and her manner of death has been listed as accidental, the report states.

“Her next of kin have been notified and on behalf of the Bucks County Coroner’s Office we offer her family and friends our sincerest condolences,” said Coroner Meredith Buck, in the WFMZ report.

Crews remained on scene for approximately 3½ hours, police said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
