Souderton Area School District announced on Friday they received a $12,790 donation from Giant Food Stores to help feed children in need.

The donation was part of Giant’s “Feeding School Kids Program,” which seeks to grow school feeding programs and assist in eliminating child hunger within schools.

“Thank you to all who rounded up at the register,” the district said in a press release. “Together, we are ensuring students have access to the nutrition they need to grow and fuel their education.”
