Bucks County Teacher Arrested After Attempting to Meet Teen Boy for Sex, Police Say

Steven Struzinski, 42, of Plumstead Township.

A teacher at Council Rock High School in Bucks County is facing charges after he allegedly attempted to meet a 13-year-old boy for sex, only to find out the teen was actually a civilian decoy.

Steven Struzinski, 42, of Plumstead Township, has been charged attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and attempted unlawful contact with a minor after allegedly attempting to meet a 13-year-old boy that turned out to be a civilian decoy.

Investigators with the Buckingham Township Police Department were contacted on March 1 by a person claiming they had engaged in a texting relationship with Struzinski in May 2022 while posing as a 13-year-old boy on a social media dating site. The decoy told police that despite telling Struzinski they were 13 years old, Struzinski “initiated explicit sexual conversations and solicited sex,” culminating in an arrangement to meet at George Bush Park for sex on May 23, 2022, according to charging documents.

Struzinski arrived at the park at 3 p.m. to meet the boy for sex, however he fled the scene after the decoy took a photo of Struzinski’s vehicle and license plate, police said.

Though the criminal complaint does not identify the decoy or their organization, the founder of the Texas-based online vigilante group “Predator Poachers” claimed Thursday the decoy  was responsible for at least four other area arrests, according to a report by Jo Ciavaglia at the Bucks County Courier Times.

One of those arrests include 23-year-old Devon Weiss, who was arrested in September 2022 after allegedly attempting to meet a teen boy for sex in Doylestown.

Following Struzinski’s arrest, Council Rock placed him on administrative leave and sent out a letter notifying parents about the situation, according to the Courier Times report.

Struzinski is currently free after posting 10% of $250,000 cash bail, court records show. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on April 10 at 2:30 p.m. in front of District Judge Maggie Snow.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
