A Horsham Township man is facing charges after he allegedly uploaded multiple images of child pornography to Reddit.
Investigators with the Horsham Township Police Department and Montgomery County Detective Bureau received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children last year regarding a Reddit user who had allegedly uploaded six images of child pornography. The images reportedly depicted male and female children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old being sexually abused, according to investigators.
The IP address associated with Reddit accounts “mrslutman1” and “monkeyandfriends” was traced to a home on Easton Road belonging to 25-year-old Christopher Matton, and the email address used to register the accounts included Matton’s name, according to charging documents.
A search warrant was served on the home on Nov. 9, 2022, at which point investigators recovered hundreds of images from Matton’s laptop, hard drive and cell phone, depicting children as young as infancy being forced to participate in sex acts, investigators said.
Matton was officially charged on Feb. 28 with more than 100 felony counts, including dozens of counts of disseminating child pornography and possession of child pornography. He was arraigned several days later, at which time bail was set at $10,000 cash, court records show.
He is currently free after posting bail, and his next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on March 16 at 11:30 a.m. in front of District Judge Harry Nesbitt II.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause. This story was updated to reflect the child's current custody status.
